FUN FACTS ABOUT GOD’S CREATION
It probably looked like a sheep or a goat or any kind of animal that liked to eat grass! but now there are all kinds of lawn mowers made of metal, so today grass-eaters could fit into both the animal AND mineral categories! The first push-mower was probably invented in 1830 when an Englishman named Edwin Budding attached metal blades to a cylinder that turned around as it was pushed and chopped up the grass. Much later, other inventors found a way to add a gasoline or an electric motor to the push-mower, and trimming the grass got easier. Today there are even power mowers you can ride to cut large lawns. But there are still places where hungry animals have the job of mowing the grass.
When God planted grass on earth, he left it up to people to figure out how to use it to make nice lawns AND how to mow it to keep it from growing higher than an elephant's eye! Maybe someday you will be asked to help your family by mowing the lawn.
