FUN FACTS ABOUT GOD’S CREATION
Walt Disney, who created Disneyland and Mickey Mouse was afraid of mice! Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb, was afraid of the dark. And Mel Blanc, the man who was the voice of Bugs Bunny, was allergic to carrots - so he was afraid to crunch on them as Bugs did, knowing it would make him sick!
They all had something to fear. Actually, almost everyone is afraid of some little things - and maybe big things, too - but they don't talk about it very much. They'd rather keep it a secret. But it might help if they DID talk about it to a friend.
Are you afraid of anything? There are some things you should be afraid of - Crossing the street without looking both ways, riding in a car without wearing a seatbelt, or eating ice cream so fast you get a brain freeze. But ALWAYS being afraid can give you a brain freeze too.
If you're afraid of something like the dark or a mouse or a carrot, just try to be brave, and maybe soon you'll get over it. But when something big comes along that you should be afraid of, try to talk to someone about it and get help, then grit your teeth and quietly and secretly ask God to hold your hand.
