MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
We are enjoying getting back into the routines and expectations of our term, and I have enjoyed visiting classrooms to engage with the students and their learning. We are committed to our school-wide expectations, and they are at the forefront of our communication, engagement and education.
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
And
Be a Learner
On Monday, the students from Grades 3-6 participated in the Yarram and District Cross Country and the Yarram Golf Course. This event is a highlight on our calendar, and the students shone on the day. I was thrilled to hear of the sportsman-like behaviour and the support of all students cheering each other across the finishing line. I have received some lovely feedback from those who were spectators, and they praised our students for their behaviour and support of everyone participating on the day. Thanks to Anthony for all his time and effort organising the day and Sharon for crowd control and student support.
As we move into cooler weather, students are now required to wear Winter uniforms. If you need uniforms, please ask Debbie for assistance with sizes and ordering items.
We have a number of students who ride, walk and scooter to and from school. Please remind your children that there are safety expectations in the community to be careful and mindful of members of the Yarram community that access the footpaths. We need to be safe at all times.
Kind Regards
Maria
