SENIOR CLASS ACTIVITIES

THE ARTS - SENIOR TEAM.
As part of our core focus in Term 4, “MY STORY, OUR STORY, OUR NATION”,
students researched environmental landmarks and features of Australia and created
designs to incorporate into their Clay creations. This was our first session using clay
with lots of ‘chatter' about the tactile experiences of clay. Some of the environmental aspects used as a stimulus were, native bees, gum leaves, Uluru, koalas, Buchan Caves, Great Barrier Reef and Pink Lake. We can’t wait to see the final art pieces.

Senior Team – Imagery Poems,

What makes Spring special to you?

Use the senses to paint a visual

SPRING

Spring is warm

Spring is wonderful

Spring is fun for everyone.

I taste the Spring air

I watch the birds singing a melody

I touch the beautiful Spring flowers.

SPRING

It is Spring,

Have some fun

It is hot

And it is cold

Everyday, all day long

I go outside

Play in the pool

But when it is cold

I go inside

And sit near the fire

With a hot chocolate

All day long.

SPRING

Flowers blooming in the sun

Animals coming out for fun.

Green leaves growing on the trees

Bumble bees go out for feed.

Birds tweeting songs all day

Excited children go out to play.

Big green fields full of flowers

Showering water in fields.

Now that Spring has finally come

We have days with so much fun.
