Religious Education is an integral part of Catholic Education. We promote Christian values and
encourage these to be evident throughout all learning and social situations.
The Religious Education curriculum is based on the program ‘Journeying Together in Hope,’ focusing
on topics such as Easter, Advent, Sacraments, Missions and Jesus Christ. Children are given an
opportunity to build on their relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit through a variety of
activities and experiences. They are brought to an awareness of themselves, of others, of the world
and the Christian faith and tradition.
Children participate in daily prayers, class liturgies and school Masses. They are able to receive the
Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. These Sacraments are taught in
conjunction with the school, parents and parish. Students who are not Catholic are able to receive a
Special Blessing as part of our Sacramental Program.
