Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
We had a wonderful day celebrating the Peace Mass at Catholic College Sale last Friday, May 26th. Bishop Gregory Bennet officiated the mass, and our Parish Priest, Father Antony, assisted on the day. On behalf of the school community, I would like to congratulate all the students for their magnificent behaviour and thank the staff for their support in making the day a success for everyone.
I would like to remind parents of the school's expectations of sharing videos of their children on social media platforms while in our school uniform. Our uniform represents our core values as a Catholic school, and I will not tolerate unacceptable content with our uniform on display.

Religion News: Thursday the 1st of June 2023
Last Sunday was Pentecost. The word Pentecost means fiftieth day in Greek. It commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples as tongues of fire. It also marks the end of the Season of Easter. It is often called the Birthday of the Church as it is from this event that the disciples went forth to spread the good news.
Jesus told his Apostles at the Last Supper many things about the Holy Spirit, and some of these are included in the readings at this time, such as: “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth…” (Jn 14:16-17). In another moment during the Last Supper discourse, Jesus even said to the Apostles, “But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you” (Jn 16:7). The Holy Spirit’s presence with the Apostles, disciples and with the entire Church throughout the centuries is always meant to be a comfort, a consolation, a leader and a guide to Jesus’ friends.

SchoolTV Special Report - Mobile Phone Separation Anxiety
Many families are facing the very real challenge of addressing mobile phone separation anxiety in their children. Banning mobile phones in schools has become a topic of intense debate worldwide, including in Australia. Many schools have implemented comprehensive bans on mobile phones during school hours. Critics argue against the effectiveness of such bans, but numerous studies provide evidence of their positive impacts.
